A new subgenus of Nabis Latreille (Heteroptera: Nabidae) from South America and a key to the subgenera worldwide, with notes about comparative morphology of the genitalia

Abstract A revision of the Nabis punctipennis complex is here provided. (Austronabis) subgen. nov. (type species: N. (A.) Blanchard) from South America described based on male and female genitalia. This new subgenus compared with all other subgenera in world a key for 13 composed of: argentinus Meyer-Dur, faminei Stal, paranensis Harris punctipennis. Redescriptions each species are given, images their genitalia, including characters genitalia distributional records. We also discuss taxonomic position ashworthi Faundez Carvajal propose that it should be transferred to (Dolichonabis) Reuter, combination.
